The content of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with cable, IP and OTT STB makers.
The report finds that the combined shipment volume of Taiwanese cable, IP and OTT STB industry in the first three quarters of 2013 recorded double-digit year-on-year growth. North America and Europe continued to be major shipment destinations for the industry, with their combined share breaking 80% in the third quarter of 2013. It is forecasted that the industry will score a shipment volume of 21 million in the first half of 2014, up 10.2% year-on-year, thanks to new orders placed by incumbent and new clients, mainly from Europe, the United States, and/or China.
